Depending on how much frost you do or don’t get Bauhinia variegata is a pink flowering small tree that flowers in winter, here in a sheltered area (will take a small amount of frost).
I am in zone 6 (upstate NY – near Buffalo NY) so I’m not sure how it would do in your zone – but I have a tree hydrangea that has flowers that start off creamy white in August & then gradually turn a beautiful mauvy pink in the fall. It looks so cool when all the leaves are turning yellow & orange to have a pink tree.
I’m also in zone 9 but in inland Australia.
