  1. Oh yes I like…in fact, I love it. The contradiction of the “sad man” and the happy flowers is very poignant. It seems to add such a touching element to the gift of the flowers, and the sentiment behind the gift, making them all the more profound. What a beautiful way to say “I love you”, to plant someone a flower garden. Lovely poem. Thank you.

  2. The poem is lovely, and a twist at the end! Not just a bouquet, but a garden. I hope he will not be sad too much longer.

Awww! VERY Sweet! I hope she accepts his proposal.

  4. An interesting poetic concept; “he” plants a garden that will grow through the years, rather than bringing a bouquet which will die in days. I like the personification of the flowers.

  5. So…that is all it took to get you to say yes? Easy mark you are…lol! Sweetly done. Maybe ‘swaying in Autumn breeze.’

  6. wow thats a romantic guy and the poem is well written and the diction clear.i love it

  7. Beautiful !

  8. As usual, I was not disappointed in what you put to paper. Well done.

  9. No one knows what it’s like
    to be the bad man
    to be the sad man
    behind blue eyes…

but my dreams aren’t as empty
    and nor yours, it seems

    Thanks

My thoughts are exactly as Elaine’s thoughts, the nurturing,

…but I did not like him sad, I would have liked him “melancholy” which would be a feeling of thoughtful sadness, but I realize that is 3 extra syllables, is that too many? (smile)
